Air quality sensors installed on cars in NYC

The goal of this project is to map out the air quality of the city and to gain a further understanding of the air quality issues and how these effect the citizens health. The initiative is also launched in Buffalo and the Capital Region, and are scheduled to start in Brooklyn, Queens, Mount Vernon, and Hempstead in the fall.

It is hoped that the readings will be so accurate that differences across a single street can be measured. The data will also be used to find solutions to assist in improving the air quality.
